“You must get involved to have an impact. No one is impressed with the won-lost record of the referee.”
– John Holcomb
Regardless of the issue – gangs, development, workforce housing, city spending, or public safety – all citizens must get involved.
There are many opportunities for your voice to be heard and to be part of the solution to the challenges that face our community. To find out how you can make a difference, contact CCO at volunteer@vbcco.org or come to our next meeting.

CCO is seeking experienced civic leaders to help mentor fellow civic leagues.
Whether it’s how to run a board meeting, how to increase membership, or who to turn to at the city for answers to specific questions, there are many communities that could benefit from the guidance of someone who has already been there. If you would like to help, email us at volunteer@vbcco.org.

Community Advocacy Taskforce … is there an issue that’s close to your heart? Are you worried about development, the quality of transportation, or open space?
Banquet Committee … Help us plan and organize the January 2008 Annual Awards Banquet.
Programs Committee … Help plan and coordinate topics and speakers for upcoming programs.
